Sunshine ClassroomEarly Intervention

Our Early Intervention class (Sunshine Classroom) was established in September 2023 to cater for children with additional needs between the ages of three and four years old.

In the Sunshine Classroom we strive to meet the individual learning needs of each child by providing a positive learning environment. It is our aim to help the children thrive in their holistic development by providing the children with a multi sensorial and hands on approach to learning.

In the Sunshine Classroom we participate in many fun sensory activities such as art, baking, themed sensory trays, water play, sand play and so much more! We also enjoy fun games and activities through our Attention Autism program in the mornings.

We facilitate each child's learning through observation and by building positive relationships with the children. We then base each child's learning activities around their individual interests and adapt each activity to meet the needs of each child.

In the Sunshine Classroom we also enjoy gross motor activities in our sensory garden. Here the children have the opportunity to play with older students in the school which helps the children to learn important life skills such as sharing, turn taking and how to build friendships.

We hope you enjoy our pictures of the many fun activities we get to enjoy here in school!
